I love this because it's not your standard portrait and the frame is just right... Another happy customer.

Stunning model, stunning location...
06th July 2015
Not only did I have the fortune of a stunning model for my second shoot at the amazing location of Betchworth Castle ruins, the evening light made it even more magical. Capturing images like this one make all the hours of practise and processing in front of the computer worthwhile...

Pre-Raphaelite themed shoot
01st July 2015
It was an honour to be given permission to use the dream location of Betchworth Castle ruins for a pre-Raphaelite themed shoot. Here are my favourite images. I was fascinated by the graffiti, the juxtaposition with our theme. Can't wait to go back...

Para news

It was great fun dusting off my reporter's notebook to catch up with GB's top para riders to report the British Para Championships for the British Dressage website. They always have amazing stories behind their success...

An entertaining day
19th June 2015
It was a glorious day for the Mursell sisters shoot at their beautiful home.

Widget, the Cocker Spaniel, was the most talkative dog I've ever met and together with Wally, made for an entertaining time as did Didi, the 23-year-old Arab/Warmblood, who enjoyed pretending to be five at one point!

The Bubble Maker
17th June 2015
Visiting photography exhibitions in London is always inspiring and fun and this trip involved a rather enjoyable time spell-bound watching the Bubble Maker...

Experimenting
10th June 2015
I've said it before, photography is just like dressage, you never stop learning. Experimenting with flash to overpower daylight...

Personal development
02nd June 2015
As somebody working in a creative industry, I think it's vital to invest in personal development and strive to reach the next and a new level of creativity. Thanks to the mentoring programme and the training days provided by the British Institute of Professional Photography, I've had the most amazing opportunity to learn from two photographers at the top of their game, my mentor Chris Harper FBIPP and BIPP CEO and David Wheeler FBIPP.

Here are a couple of images from the training shoots with each taken at Lythe Hill Hotel near Haslemere last week.

Cookies
19th May 2015
Having a son who bakes tasty cookies may not be good for the waistline, but made for a challenging subject to photograph and put into practise a few techniques learnt recently...

Live wire
11th May 2015
The five-year-old Denzil was a bit of a live wire during his photo shoot, but we managed to capture a few special shots nevertheless. Thank you Chloe for all your patience!

Love London

Honoured
08th May 2015
Proud to announce that I've been asked to join the Capel Camera Club selection committee. It's quite uncanny the similarities between the dressage and photography competition world. Thoroughly looking forward to the challenge!

The best of the best
21st April 2015
Quality product photography, like any photography, is a specialist genre. When you have the opportunity to spend a day learning from one of the best in the world - he does product photography for the Rolls-Royce of camera manufacturers Hasselblad - you know you are in for a treat.

Oh boy, what an experience it was watching Jonathan Beer FBIPP perform his magic!

As he doesn't offer training and rarely accepts engagements to speak about his work, it was a huge privilege I won't forget. Learnt so much...

A precious moment captured
15th April 2015
Two beautiful young sisters, an adorable pony and stunning weather is a recipe for a great equine lifestyle shoot. Add to that meeting a legendary horsewoman, aka Rosemary Attfield, then you have an extremely happy photographer!

Here is the moment little sis has her first ever sit on the six-year-old Rosie, helped by a proud big sis.

Adam Kemp impresses
12th April 2015
British Dressage magazine issue 3 2015 is out featuring the lovely Helen Stone, winner of last year's Petplan Equine Area Festival High Achiever award, whom I had the pleasure of photographing at Adam Kemp's yard, AM Dressage.

Adam donated lessons to the winner and it was amazing to watch the transformation he achieved in such a short time while we were combining a training session and photo shoot.
