A little distraction
27th July 2014
So there I am photographing a diamond wedding anniversary party and end up being slightly distracted…

An emotional occasion
24th July 2014
The diamond wedding anniversary renewal of vows turned out to be an emotional occasion for all involved, not least bride and groom, Janet and Ken. Honoured to have been part of this most special moment...

The lovely Laurie
20th July 2014
At the viewing, the client was struggling to decide which was her favourite of the three images I took of her stunning ex-racehorse's head. In the end, we came to the conclusion they looked rather gorgeous as a three-in-one frame.

Another gorgeous ex-racehorse
08th July 2014
Here's a sneak peek from this morning's shoot with Louise Hamer at Cadence Equestrian. Have to say, these ex-racehorses are extremely photogenic.

The Roberts Family
14th June 2014
It was such a lovely evening for a family shoot last night. So glad the storms held off!

Emily and Echo
11th June 2014
It was so lovely to do a baby shoot again, with the scrumptious Echo…

Chloe and her eventers
30th May 2014
I can't believe I've been so lucky again with the weather. It was perfect for today's shoot - high cloud. The eventers were stunning as was their rider and the setting was gorgeous too. Feeling blessed…

Vicky and Rosie
20th May 2014
Here's a little sneak peek from today's shoot with Vicky Spicer and the five-year-old former racehorse Rosie.

Kerri and Flash
09th May 2014
It was a glorious day for Kerri's equestrian lifestyle shoot, featuring her wedding dress. Dream models, dream location…love my job on days like today!

Goddard's Golden Wedding Anniversary
03rd April 2014
It was a huge pleasure to be commissioned to photograph a golden wedding anniversary for the Kunert family at the rather special venue of Goddards.

Here are a couple of my favourites…

Best Large Mono Print of the Year
03rd April 2014
Timeless, intimate and with excellent balance is how judge Helene Rodgers FRPS FBIPP FMPA described the image I captured at a recent wedding at Wotton House. With that, it won the Capel Camera Club Best Large Mono Print of the Year.

My dressage image took runner-up slot in the same category and I was awarded two highly-commendeds in the colour print sections.

Having your work critiqued by one of the most highly-qualified photographers in the country is pretty special, particularly as Helene's boundless enthusiasm for photography is so infectious.

To view all the winning images, visit the Capel Camera Club website.

Scottish Power
18th March 2014
My images now feature on the website of Scotland's most successful dressage rider Jo Hamilton.

Having had the pleasure of meeting this lovely, talented rider at her trainer Carl Hester's yard for a British Dressage magazine feature, Jo's website has just been updated with a selection of her favourite images from the shoot on the Home, About and Horses/Corchapin pages.

So hope all of Jo's many years of hard graft pay off and that she can find a way to make that step up to international level.

The profile of Jo appeared in BD issue 2 and is available from British Dressage.

Many thanks also to Abby Newell of piaffe.co.uk for credits and link - much appreciated!

Accepted for SPA exhibition
14th March 2014
More good news as two of my images have been accepted for the Surrey Photographic Association's biennial exhibition at Guildford House Gallery, which runs from 2-26 April, 10am-4.45pm, free admission.

The football image scored 12 out of 15, the polo picture 11.

BIPP success
14th March 2014
I am proud to announce that my portfolio was deemed of a high enough standard to become a member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. Now the hard work begins as I start to prepare for my first qualification.

A shoot in Petworth Park
09th March 2014
It was the most glorious spring day for a shoot in the stunning setting of Petworth Park yesterday.

Busy Photography Show
05th March 2014
The Photography Show at the NEC seemed a lot busier than last year and featured a great selection of stands and demos. Would love to have the time to listen to some of the famous photographers' speeches… Perhaps next year!

Kerri & Graham's big day
24th February 2014
The weather was amazing, the setting stunning. Wotton House's gardens are a photographer's dream location and Kerri and Graham were able to make the most of it.

Here is a sneak peak of last Friday's wedding images…

Kerri & Graham's pre-wed
08th February 2014
Considering all the severe weather warnings, I'm amazed we managed to find a window when it was not raining for Kerri & Graham's pre-wed shoot, which somehow turned into a bit of a dog shoot too. It's a good thing the hounds aren't coming to the wedding, so that I'm not distracted by them on the day!

The rain...
06th February 2014
…is a wonderful opportunity to get the create juices going in Photoshop. This image was ruined by a cluttered background, so I experimented and think this treatment works rather well.

A dream website shoot
29th January 2014
The weather was fab, the horses stunning, the "models" gorgeous and beautifully turned out; you simply couldn't ask for more. The shoot was for Jen Goodman's website and also features images of Spencer Wilton.

Here is a little taster…
