Scottish Power
18th March 2014
My images now feature on the website of Scotland's most successful dressage rider Jo Hamilton.

Having had the pleasure of meeting this lovely, talented rider at her trainer Carl Hester's yard for a British Dressage magazine feature, Jo's website has just been updated with a selection of her favourite images from the shoot on the Home, About and Horses/Corchapin pages.

So hope all of Jo's many years of hard graft pay off and that she can find a way to make that step up to international level.

The profile of Jo appeared in BD issue 2 and is available from British Dressage.

Many thanks also to Abby Newell of piaffe.co.uk for credits and link - much appreciated!

The football image scored 12 out of 15, the polo picture 11.

I am proud to announce that my portfolio was deemed of a high enough standard to become a member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. Now the hard work begins as I start to prepare for my first qualification.

A shoot in Petworth Park
09th March 2014
It was the most glorious spring day for a shoot in the stunning setting of Petworth Park yesterday.

Busy Photography Show
05th March 2014
The Photography Show at the NEC seemed a lot busier than last year and featured a great selection of stands and demos. Would love to have the time to listen to some of the famous photographers' speeches… Perhaps next year!

Kerri & Graham's big day
24th February 2014
The weather was amazing, the setting stunning. Wotton House's gardens are a photographer's dream location and Kerri and Graham were able to make the most of it.

Here is a sneak peak of last Friday's wedding images…

Kerri & Graham's pre-wed
08th February 2014
Considering all the severe weather warnings, I'm amazed we managed to find a window when it was not raining for Kerri & Graham's pre-wed shoot, which somehow turned into a bit of a dog shoot too. It's a good thing the hounds aren't coming to the wedding, so that I'm not distracted by them on the day!

The rain...
06th February 2014
…is a wonderful opportunity to get the create juices going in Photoshop. This image was ruined by a cluttered background, so I experimented and think this treatment works rather well.

A dream website shoot
29th January 2014
The weather was fab, the horses stunning, the "models" gorgeous and beautifully turned out; you simply couldn't ask for more. The shoot was for Jen Goodman's website and also features images of Spencer Wilton.

Here is a little taster…

Another first
23rd January 2014
The lovely Louise Bell is the subject of my first British Dressage magazine cover (issue 1 2014). It was the greyest of days and raining, but Louise was completely unfazed and a brilliant model.

Please click here to view.

Many thanks to British Dressage for allowing me to reproduce this cover.
Wet but magical
22nd December 2013
British weather is always unpredictable, but having a wedding on the shortest day of the year was always going to be risky. However, the rain somehow made it quite special. Many congratulations Elaine and Peter. Wishing you much happiness.

A Christmas wedding
13th December 2013
I am so looking forward to photographing my first wedding at the stunning Okewood Church next week.

Red's first photo shoot
05th December 2013
As a member of the Bliss household, one has to become used to being the subject of photo shoots. This is Red's first attempt at modelling and conveys his mischievous nature as well as ability to persuade others that butter wouldn't melt…

Full marks
29th November 2013
I enjoyed an extremely successful competition evening at my local camera club, www.capelcameraclub.org.uk with three of my five entries receiving full marks, my highest number of maximum scores in one night so far.

Here are the images…

A busy day!
13th September 2013
Here are a couple of images from the private shoot I did for one of Lassetter Dressage's liveries - the lovely Merlin and Quinn, owned by Emily Barrett.

A fabulous day with the Lassetters
12th September 2013
It is so wonderful to go to a dressage yard where all the horses are hacked out and turned out. Lassetter Dressage's Balcombe Stud in Goodwood is a photographer's dream, with its listed flint stables and stunning setting. Char and her horse thoroughly enjoyed their gallop and it was a privilege to photograph the mares and foals. A huge thank you to all the team for their hard work.
